This is the tale of Jimmy the peanut butter cup!
Jimmy woke to the sound of the chocolate machine grinding and heeving and UGH-ing. He pulled himself out of his wrapper and sighed, looking out the window. Was today the day he would be sold? He wasn't sure, but he hoped so. The peanut butter cups he was manufactured with were already all gone. At great homes with little girls and boys. He swallowed hard. Were they eaten yet? He tried to wipe the memory out of his mind. All he wanted to do was be in a store. Not eaten though. He loved little stores, little country stores, or even country stores in the city! He had been to one once, and every day of his life he wished to go back. The sun pouring in from the panneled windows, the little shelves, lining one wall, and the sweet smell of fresh pancakes being cooked. It was a most wonderful thing. He winced at the memory.
It was a clear day, and Jimmy was talking to his friend Penny, when the Grand O' wrapper came running to them. He was the president of their peanut butter cup clan. "The truck is here!" he had said nervously. They were all frightened, as they were loaded into the huge truck. They were locked up in a dark room that had no end, and they thought they would never see the light of day again. When they arrived, they all oo'ed and ahh'ed. It was great, to say the least. When they were all unloaded, the owner shook his head and went into a rampage. "Toaaooah Muaaach!" he said in The-strange-way-that-humans-communicate. He meant too much. Jimmy knew the language quite well, so it was not so strange to him as it was to the others. Groaning and moaning the Giant-strong-orange-men-who-carry-you took a box away. The box, was the one Jimmy was in. He was separate from the others. He was taken back to the shop, to be bought again.
Jimmy tried not to think about it. It brought -silvery-trickley-things down his face. In human words, it made him cry.
He stood uo and walked around the storage room when, WHAM! The door flew open and hit the back wall. "Allaalll Riaagggaahht!" said a big scary guy. "Yooouuaaa guaaaayyyzzz arrrreeeeaaaa SOLD!" The last word rang through Jimmy's ears. He said that they were SOLD! He almost wanted to get up and run to hug the man! But of course he did not.
The next day, he was packed into a box. He was next to a girl named Jimicia. "Hi" she said batting her eyelashes. Immediately, Jimmy knew what was going on. He was in love. "H-h-h-h-h-h-h-i1" he replied. "What's your name?" "J-j-j-j-j-im-m-m-m-y" he stuttered. She giggled. Just then, a Giant-strong-orange-man-who-carry-you reached into the box and pulled her out. He gasped. Then he ate her! How could he? Jimmy felt a s-ilvery-trickley-thing slide down his cheek. But then, the truck stopped. He was taken into the same little store that he had been to the first time. He looked arounf, it was all there! He smiled. A new life.
